I am pleased to announce the official launch of Manna Bookstore by Ekklesia.
Manna Bookstore is a boutique bookstore whose ministry is to publish, distribute, and retail books and spiritual development resources that are faithful to the Spirit of truth, and true to the Bread of Life, such that Manna will be a portal of the Spirit and conduit of grace for the perfecting of saints and building up of the body of Christ.
At Manna, books – be they printed books, audio books, or digital books – are so much more than a ‘tent-making’ business for our ministry to the nations; they are our manna, our mission, and our means of grace to the body of Christ. Our goal is to curate books and Christian resources, even gifts, for the transforming of the mind and equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ (Romans 12:2; Ephesians 4:11-13).
When you come to Manna, you can be assured that every resource is curated for the developmental needs of your life and godliness. So, come on in, tell us your needs, and we will recommend, even customise, resources to meet your needs, whether for individual, small group, or church. We are even planning a Manna Book Club for community book reviews, discussions, and fellowship.
Specifically, apart from the ministry of books for Christian growth in general, Manna has the following core focus areas:
Christian Living, Christian Education, Discipleship, and Biblical Studies
We are placing special emphasis on resources that will facilitate and support Christian education, discipleship, and spiritual formation in the church, so that every member can progressively attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature sonship, and to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. Whether it is for theological education, leadership development, adult discipleship groups, youth ministry, or Sunday School, we can supply materials or customise curriculum to systematically support the needs of every church in this area.
Youth and Young Adults (and Adults too!)
We want to spark in them a holy zeal for God’s workmanship in their lives, and inspire them to be hook-line-sinker sold-out to God’s end-time consummating work through the church in the nation(s). We want to raise up a new generation of highly-flammable materials so that God can ignite the fire and spread the flame of the Spirit through them upon all flesh, just like the great reformers and revivalists of old. By encouraging them to read books of these genres, it will recalibrate their narratives for life, godliness, and destiny.
Family, Parents, and Children / Teens
We want to empower parents to take ownership and responsibility for their children’s spiritual development throughout the week, not just “outsource” it to Sunday Schools. We will provide resources for parents to engage their children daily so that they can shape their worldviews, foster in them a keen interest for God’s Word, and train them in the ways of God from an early age.
Leadership Development, Ministry Equipping, Missions, and Evangelism
As “Antioch of Asia”, development in areas of leadership, ministry, missions, and evangelism are critical to the life and mission of the church in the nations. We will collaborate with churches throughout their various stages of development in these areas.
The above is just a brief overview of our vision and mission for Manna. To explore how we can effectively meet your needs in your context, please call us at (65) 67499639, or write to us at manna@ekklesia.com.sg. Above all, visit our store to have a first-hand experience for yourself.
